Skipper · sail without a licence

Without a category B boat licence or an ICC plus a VHF certificate, you sail with a skipper. The skipper handles the yacht and the route; you choose the bays and the pace. The skipper’s price is included in every all-in price as soon as you select Skipper: Yes in the search.

What is included and what is not

In the skipper price

  • Handling the yacht and the route, check-ins at marinas and the park
  • Yacht handover and return on your behalf
  • Tips on bays, konobas (traditional Dalmatian taverns) and the weather
  • Help with anchoring, the dinghy and the SUP

You pay on board

  • The skipper’s meals (you cook for them or treat them at a konoba)
  • Marina fees and mooring buoys as usual
  • A tip if you wish; it is not required

A day with a skipper

Where does the skipper sleep? The skipper takes one of the places on the yacht. An Elan Impression 40 takes at most 8 people, so 7 guests with a skipper; for 8 guests, choose an Elan Impression 45 or a Lagoon catamaran.

Do I need to know anything about sailing?

No. The skipper handles the yacht and, if you like, teaches you to steer and anchor.

How many guests can sail with a skipper?

At most the yacht’s capacity minus one berth. In the search, enter the number of guests excluding the skipper.
