Without a skipper, the yacht is in the charge of a crew member with a boat licence Croatia recognises and a VHF radio certificate. Without these, you sail with a skipper.
1. The skipper in charge
A Croatian category B boat licence covers yachts up to 18 m. The Ministry of the Sea accepts every International Certificate of Competence (ICC) marked valid for “Coastal waters”, and national licences of other states according to its list (mmpi.gov.hr). Send us your licence when you book and we will confirm whether it is valid.
2. VHF radio
The yachts carry a VHF radio. The ministry recognises a national boat licence from its list on condition that its holder also has a radio operator’s certificate (for example SRC) when there is a VHF station aboard. Channel 16 is the distress and calling channel; marinas answer on their own channels.
3. Papers at check-in

You enter the crew list in My booking; the base turns it into the official crew list for the trip.
Frequently asked questions
Is my national licence valid?
It depends on the country and the type of licence. Send it to us when you book and we will confirm before departure.
Can someone else hold the licence instead of me?
Yes. The person in charge is the crew member who holds the licence and is entered as skipper on the crew list.
I have no licence. What now?
Sail with a skipper: they are in charge of the yacht, and you sail as much as you like.
