Murter is joined to the mainland by a lifting bridge at Tisno. Most owners of land in the Kornati come from Murter, and the Kornati National Park administration is in the village; Betina keeps the craft of wooden boatbuilding alive. Hramina marina and ACI marina Jezera make a good first or last night of the week, ≈ 10 and ≈ 17 NM from Biograd.

Murter from the yacht

From Biograd you sail south-east, ≈ 10 NM to Hramina bay by the village of Murter. In the bay the speed limit is 5 knots up to the line Cape Gradina – Tegina islet; the marina breakwater is being extended, and yellow buoys mark the works. Betina is ≈ 11 NM away, on the north side of the island.

The Tisno bridge. A lifting bridge at Tisno closes the channel between Murter and the mainland. From 1 June to 15 September 2026 it is raised every day at 9:00 and 18:00 and lowered from 9:20 and 18:20; the rest of the year less often, on the Tisno municipality schedule. If you miss an opening, sail round the island: Tisno is ≈ 18 NM from Biograd on the south side of the bridge and ≈ 13 NM on the north side.

ACI marina Jezera, on the south-east side of the island, has 212 berths, a fuel station and a pool, and is open all year. You approach on either side of Školjić islet; round Hrbošnjak islet on its east side, because the passage towards Murter is shallow. Expect many fishing boats in the marina.

Tip from the base. Murter makes a good last night: the Saturday return to Biograd is ≈ 10 NM. From Jezera, Kornat is close through the southern passages; more on the Kornati page, and the winds guide helps you pick the side of the island for the night.
