Žut is a large uninhabited island in the north-east of the Kornati, but outside the national park boundary, so no ticket is needed. ACI marina Žut lies in the bay behind the islet of Maslinjak; its piers have been closed since June 2026, while the buoy field is open. The other bays are quiet anchorages for the first or last night of the week.

Žut from the yacht
From Biograd you sail down the Pašman channel and round the southern tip of Pašman westwards to Žut bay; that is about 11 NM. At the bay entrance lies the islet of Maslinjak (north cape 43°53.2′ N, 15°18.8′ E). From the Kornati the shortest way to Žut is through the Proversa Vela or Mala passages, at night through the well-lit Mala Proversa. From Zadar you pass Mali Ždrelac, under a bridge 16.5 m high.
- No ticket: Žut is not part of Kornati National Park; the park boundary lies just to the south-west.
- ACI has 15 buoys by the marina; buoys in other bays are laid by konoba owners or concession holders, who charge for them themselves.
- Water in the marina runs only from 08:00 to 10:00 and power is limited; fill your tanks in Biograd.
- HHI charts for the passage: 101, 300-32, 100-20, MK-14 and plan 512.
In a bora pick up one of the ACI marina buoys, as ACI also recommends. In a jugo or maestral the Hiljača and Sabuni bays on the north-east coast are quieter; in a bora they are open. When DHMZ forecasts a strong bora or jugo, take a marina buoy or head back to Biograd, 11 NM away.
